Stenciled Pantry
When we were house searching I had 2 things on my list of must haves. First, the kitchen. I had to be able to work in it, I knew that I could change things but I had to at least kind of like it the way it was. Second, it had to have a pantry. A big one, not just a side cupboard but a honest to goodness pantry.
To be completely honest when we found this house and it's amazing pantry I thought there is no way I will fill this up it is so big! Boy oh Boy was I wrong!
Now we all know that I spend a little too much time on Pinterest looking at all the beautiful things. Let me tell you there are some beautiful pantry's out there! I knew I wanted to do something but the budget was pretty much at $0.00 so necessity is the mother of invention!
So I got out a piece of cardboard. Drew out my design. Cut the design out and traced it on the wall. That part took a bit of time and you know me there was no need for measuring or making sure the lines were straight I like to wing it! Lucky for me this time it worked out! The time consuming, back killing work was painting. I got a tiny flat paint brush and hand painted over the lines I drew.
This took absolutely forever! Well 2 days and no sleeping but I got it done! Maybe it is just me because I know how much time went into this bu,t I just love to look at it! It is the one project in my home that I did that I do not feel the need to do-over!
Here is the pantry today! One day I will get white shelves in there but for now I love it. And yes, all that hard work is mostly covered up but that does not bother me. I guess the moral of the story here (and what you will find with most my posts) is don't let the budget get you down. Where there is a will there is a way!
